Budget speech at 3.30 pm Thurs
FINANCE Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam will deliver the 2009 Budget Statement in Parliament on Thursday at 3.30pm.
The speech will be delivered in two parts with a 20-minute break, at about 4.40pm.
A 'live' webcast of the Budget Speech will be available on the Singapore Budget website (www.singaporebudget.gov.sg), said the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.
The Budget Statement will also be uploaded progressively onto the Singapore Budget website as the speech is being delivered. The Budget Speech will also be broadcast 'live' over Channel NewsAsia, with Chinese translation on dual sound mode, and over the radio by 938Live.
Members of the public can visit the Singapore Budget website to subscribe to the Budget Statement. They will receive the Statement via email after it has been delivered in Parliament by the Minister for Finance.
This year, members of the public can also choose to receive key highlights of the Budget through SMS (Short Message Service). These two free services will be available for subscription until 2pm on Thursday.
Following the Budget Statement, members of the public can share their views with the Ministry via the post-Budget feedback channels listed below.
The channels will be available from 6pm on Thursday.
