Hotel for Dogs



Hotel for Dogs is a 2009 feature film adaptation of the Lois Duncan novel of the same name about two orphans who take in stray dogs at an empty house. The film, which began shooting in November 2007, is directed by Thor Freudenthal and stars Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Lisa Kudrow, Kyla Pratt, and Don Cheadle. The book was adapted by Jeff Lowell. It is set to be released 16 January 2009 and is Nickelodeon's first film to be produced by DreamWorks Pictures instead of Paramount Pictures (except Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, a Paramount/DreamWorks co-production). The film will be a DreamWorks SKG/Nickelodeon Movies presentation of a Donners' Company and Donner/Shuler-Donner production. It is the second ever DreamWorks/Nickelodeon collaboration, after Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (also adapted from a novel - or in this case, 3 novels).
